Movie Night Inaugural Blog

This is our first entry in our Movie Night and Dinner Too blog!

Many of you know that Barb and I (and friends too!) gather weekly to watch a movie and make a dinner together. We just celebrated our three year anniversary and we are starting this blog so that we can share our movies, dinners, and of course critiques with you all. So stay tuned as we update our blog with the movies we plan to watch and the dinners we plan to make and hopefully you can join in too.

Many of you know that Barb and I (and friends too!) gather weekly to watch a movie and make a dinner together. It all started in 2005 when we became co-workers. While idly chitchatting I would often sprinkle movie quotes or references in the conversation and Barb always look at me blankly and say: "Nope, I haven't seen it". Having missed seeing all of the classics: The Goonies, Beverly Hills Cop, Singing in the Rain, I felt it imperative to share all of these wonderful experiences with her and thus Movie Night was born. Based on the TBS tv show Dinner and a Movie, we thought that in addition to watching movies we could learn to cook through movie-themed recipes such as: "The CODfather" or "I'll Be Back for Seconds". After 6 years of weekly get-togethers, we started this blog so that we can share our movies, dinners, and of course critiques with you all. So stay tuned and join in as we explore the movies through food. We'd love to hear your suggestions and ratings if you watch the movies or make the recipes!
